Island Cuisine

Over Yonder Cay's team of chef's provide only the freshest ingredients with an emphasis on local seafood. "Lighter" International cuisine is emphasized. The island's private wine cellar provides an expansive choice of wines*. The rental fee of the island is inclusive of meals and drinks (soft drinks, baseline wines, spirits and champagne).

Renewable Energy

95 percent of the island electric power comes for renewable energy sources. The island is self sufficient by generating electricity from wind turbines and solar arrays located on the island. The power system retains energy in it's battery banks. Energy of last resort is supplied by two diesel electric generators.

Flora & Fauna

The retention of the island's natural environment is of paramount consideration. Great care is taken to maintain the natural habitat and to preserve the native species of animals and vegetation of the island. The marine life of the Exumas is unrivaled. Interpretive exhibits are located at key points throughout the island.

Bahamas Location / Transport

Over Yonder Cay is located in the Exuma Islands of the Bahamas (southern portion), approximately 265 miles (425km) southeast of South Florida.

Private jets can fly directly to Nassau or Great Exuma, and commercial flights operate daily from the US and Europe to Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau. Over Yonder Cay is located just 70 miles (110km) from Nassau and Great Exuma, both of which are just 30 minutes away by seaplane. Transfers from these two islands by seaplane can be accommodated.
